Service Projects

Service Week followed by Sunday Worship & Community BBQ

On the week leading up to the first Sunday of June, we gather as groups or individually and head out into the community to serve with our hands and feet. Then come Sunday when we gather for morning worship we will hear testimonies from some of those groups, followed by a community BBQ.

This year, we served in a variety of ways and places:

  • Free car wash
  • Free community BBQ
  • Invasive Species Removal
  • Yard work at Bethesda
  • Graffiti Removal
  • Park clean up
  • VBS in the Park - Fleetwood Park
  • Visiting at Elim
  • Front Room
  • Random Acts of Kindness
  • Prayer Walk
  • Salmon Tracks

Union Gospel Mission

A team of 5-7 people take a week or few days of their summer to volunteer at Union Gospel Mission in New Westminster. Please join us! Age 16+ are welcome to volunteer.  We serve breakfast and lunch, and have the opportunity to get to know the guests by sitting and talking with them in between.

This is an opportunity you won't regret! Get in touch with Natasha -- we put our team together in the Spring time. One training day is required for first-time volunteers in early June.

Every 11 weeks, we prepare and serve dinner on a Sunday afternoon at another local church for the homeless and those in need in our community. This is a great opportunity for families to volunteer together as children are welcome!
