Every year at FCRC, we participate in a Blue Christmas. It’s a time to be honest that we’re not always ready to belt out “Joy to the World”.
Our Blue Christmas service this year felt more timely, more needed than ever. We’re all weary from the time we are living through globally. And when we add to that the personal losses we may be grieving, the load can be overwhelming. Christian faith, though, has many resources to help us walk in the dark. As we read in the story of the storm on the sea of Galilee, Jesus well knows the storms of life. Jesus reaches out to bring calm in the middle of storms and calls us to deeper and deeper faith.
