Our Vision & Values

Fleetwood CRC organizes its ministry to pursue Christ’s call to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 19:19,20)

Understanding the essential meaning of “disciple” to be a “learner”, our ministry seeks to enable practices that develop disciples, according to the pattern Jesus showed us:

“If disciples of Jesus are to be learners of Jesus, we must pattern our life after his life. Jesus had three great loves in his life and was careful to balance his time towards these three relationships:

(UP): The relationship with his Father.

(IN): The relationship with his spiritual family.

(OUT): The relationship with a broken world.

Jesus stepped into the brokenness and sought transformation individually (people would come into relationship with him and his Father) and communally (seeing that systems of injustice are broken).” From Mike Breen, author of Building a Discipleship Culture

This Up, In, and Out rhythm has shaped Christ-followers from the beginning of the church. Therefore our structure is designed to help deepen the practice of these rhythms in the lives of all those connected to Fleetwood CRC.

We:

Reach Up to God in thankful worship

Reach In toward each other in fellowship, encouragement, and accountability

Reach Out to our world with God’s transforming love.
